Robin is originally from Miami Florida and grew up playing instruments as early as age 7. She has spent time in Florida, North Carolina, Northern VA and Tennessee honing her craft. She moved to Nashville in 1986 and landed a gig at Opryland Theme Park where she performed hundreds of thousands of shows. She calls it Entertainment University.
That led to developing a name in Nashville as the only Female Pedal Steel playing Utility Player that could also sing back-up harmonies. Robin was busy all the time sometimes working with as many as 6 bands in any given week.
Numerous people recommended Robin when Rod Stewart began his search for a female steel player, and by the time the music director from Rod’s band called her about the job he virtually offered her the job over the phone.
While she is off the road, she likes to spend time writing songs, writing business plans, practicing yoga, gardening and spending time with her family consisting of her husband Larry Sheridan and their two dogs BB King and Bonnie Raitt.
